Roof Gardens

On the rooftops of WestEnd City Center buildings are lying the Millennium and Szemiramis roof gardens both turned into a fun, cosy place by sculptures, benches, more than 300 trees, 50,000 flowers, a playing ground for kids, and fountains. These roof gardens are oases to the busy city, where visitors may enjoy in the heart of Budapest the wonders created by nature.

 

The largest and one of the nicest set of roof gardens in Central-Europe, they accommodate numerous successful and popular organized events. WestEnd City Center Roof Gardens promise pleasant recreation, romantic walks or sport opportunities to everyone. With thoughtful and sophisticated design, and security, they are integral part of the shopping center. This oasis, which is decorated with rippling water fountains and provides security, where noise and pollution from the city is not coming up to, received the highest recognition in the year 2000 by winning the first prize of the European Roof Gardens Association.

 

 

The unique garden composition of the overall 20,000 m2 "breathing island" is provided by 314 deciduous and app. 1000 evergreen trees, 11,200 shrubs, abundance of more than 2000 ground covering bushes and creepers. Beautiful colors changing by seasons and pleasing to the eye and soul are ensured by as much as 50,000 flowers. Across one of the most interesting "green island" in Central-Europe, the Semiramis and Millennium gardens, in addition to various ornamental apple trees such botanical curiosities may be admired, as unique oak trees, Japanese privet, or the sphere-crown ash tree.

 

The Roof Gardens of WestEnd City Center are open as long as the shopping center.
